Starting 17 January 2011, the service to Israel’s Tel Aviv reopened.
The regular charter service to Tel Aviv operates from Ostrava once a week every Monday at 08:00 local time (CET). The service is operated by Czech Connect Airlines on Boeing 737 aircraft and the average flight time is approx. 3 hours and 30 minutes.
 

Passengers can purchase both a separate ticket and a whole package tour.

Starting 15 November 2010, the service to Vienna, Austria will increase to three flights a day from the originally planned two, due to strong passenger demand.
The new rotation complements the morning and mid-afternoon flights from Ostrava to Vienna and is intended for those who prefer a mid-morning departure from Ostrava and use the connecting flights departing from Vienna airport.

A reconnaissance aircraft operated by NATO used Ostrava’s airport for training. On Friday 20 August, aviation fans had a chance to see Boeing E3 AWACS, equipped with a characteristic round radar antenna, while practicing takeoffs and landings.
