After six months of construction work, the airport has completed the refurbishment of the central apron. The result is an expanded aircraft stand with an area of approx. 50,000 square meters which is connected directly with the terminal building. The newly reconstructed apron will make it possible to handle up to seven aircraft at a time. The construction project, whose costs exceeded CZK 111 million, was funded by the owner of the airport, the Moravian Silesian Region. The modification of the airport’s manoeuvring areas was co-funded from the Regional Operational Programme NUTS II Moravia Silesia 2007-2013.
